Data protection is really important to me, and I want to be clear and open about what we do with your personal data.

If you have any queries please contact me using the contact page page.

The type of personal information I collect

I currently collect and process the following information:

When using our web-site

As with all websites, use of your IP address is required to allow the website to send you the pages it serves.

You may choose to contact me via our website in which case the personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, your IP address, name, contact details and any personal information in a message) you share will be stored. The contact pages of the website set and use a ‘strictly necessary’ session cookie (called PHPSESSID) to operate. The cookie is removed when you close your browser windows.

I conduct limited data analysis to monitor how the website is used. This involves storing data including browser type, the geolocation of visitor IP addresses (to city/town level) and an anonymous ID based on the IP address. This is done without ‘cookie tracking’, and no personal information is recorded.

Cookie notification: The site does not use cookies other than the ‘strictly necessary’ session cookie mentioned above. I do not share your personal information with third parties without your consent and therefore this website does not require a ‘cookie consent’ banner. (Hurray!)

When contacting me by other methods

If you contact me by other methods (e.g. telephone, email, face-to-face), the personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, name, contact details and any personal information in a message) you share will be stored.

Information received from third parties

I may receive your personal information from a third party; for example, from a referral from another business or trade directory. I may use that data to contact you directly and then store as detailed above. I do not share this data with other third parties without your consent.

How I get the personal information and why I have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for the purposes of providing our services. We may occasionally receive your personal information from a third party as part of a referral as detailed above.

Most of the personal information I process is provided to me directly by you for the purposes of providing my services. I may occasionally receive your personal information from a third party as part of a referral as detailed above.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases I rely on for processing this information are: (a) I have a legitimate interest. (b) I have a contractual obligation. (c) I have a legal obligation. (d) I have your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting me.

If you believe any of the information I hold about you incorrect, please inform me using the contact web-page.

How I store your personal information

Your information is securely stored as either paper or electronic records.

I keep the details of enquiries and contacts for a maximum of twelve months unless the enquiry or contact leads to the engagement of our services.

I keep transaction data and financial records for seven years from the last contact to comply with UK financial record requirement. I keep records of the services I have provided to you for the same period to allow me to provide you with a high-quality service.

Data is deleted securely. In the case of paper records this is by shredding or a secure disposal service.

Sharing information with third parties

I do not share your personal information with third parties without your consent unless required to do so by law. An example of where I might do this with your consent is where we have agreed to pass your contact details to a supplier to allow them to deliver goods or services directly to you.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

  • Your right of access - You have the right to ask me for copies of your personal information.

  • Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask me to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask me to complete information you think is incomplete.

Please contact me at using the contact page if you wish to make a request.
